EVENTS SYSTEM - A NEW FACILITY FOR YOUR PMS

We are in the mood for one of the biggest events in the world: the World Cup! 

Because of that we brought some curiosities about this great competition and everything that happens at the same time, in Qatar and Brazil. 

We will also talk about Desbravador's Events Software,  a program to manage any event, from end to end. 


Some Numbers 

Between the 20th of November and the 18th of December, 64 soccer matches and many attractions involving art, culture, gastronomy, music and sports will be held.

The host country guarantees “incomparable emotion, incredible experiences and new discoveries”. 

Qatar, has about 3 million inhabitants and should receive more than one million tourists in the first two weeks of the championship. 

There are 32 ranked selections.

Just the Brazilian delegation alone traveled with 74 people. In order to host the Brazilian Soccer team, technical comission and staff 200 rooms were booked besides an exclusive wing at a luxurious 5-star hotel in Doha. 

In conventional periods, the Arab country has 30,000 hotel rooms. For the Cup, an increase of 70,000 accommodations is estimated. 

To meet the demand for accommodation, three ocean liners will be docked in the capital to receive an average of 11,000 tourists. 


Side events 

Over 90 official events are scheduled for the period. One of the electronic music festivals alone will have the capacity to receive more than 25 thousand people! 

To make the most of the competition, a sports tourism agency created an innovative experience in a luxury hotel for tourists who are passionate about football. 

According to Sue Holt of Expat Sport: “The hotel's sports bar will be transformed into a fan zone for one of the soccer tournament's sponsors, and special guests will participate in events throughout the tournament, as well as being able to participate in challenges and sports competitions during the stay. This is a brand new product in Dubai's hospitality industry. “We are collaborating with official World Cup partners to make the experience unique and immersive for guests.” 

As these schedules are a privilege for a few, several countries will have their own agenda of events during the 29 days of the games. 

In order Brazilians can have a taste of what will be happening in the Middle Eastern country, a big party idealized by the international federation will take place in Qatar and also in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, Dubai, London and Seoul. There will be spaces for music, art, entertainment and a lot of soccer! 

In addition, there are other moments of celebration scheduled throughout Brazil. 

Many hotels, inns and resorts have a special calendar for the World Cup. Big screens to watch the matches, concerts, DJs, artistic attractions, football games and activities, themed dinners and typical dishes such as barbecue, feijoada and caipirinha will be some of the attractions. Everything to leave that national team game atmosphere which every Brazilian loves! 


How to organize the event
